For a whole year, Disney is commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. The journey began on October 16th, 1923 when Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney set out on an adventure of a lifetime. And what a journey it’s been! From the first-ever animated feature film, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” to the creation of iconic theme parks and beloved characters like Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Simba and Elsa, Disney has been our guide to a world of imagination for a century.

Magical Milestone: A Century of Imagination

Walt Disney’s journey began in 1923 when Walt Disney co-founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio. This later evolved into the Walt Disney Company. Fast forward to 1955, Disneyland, the world’s first-ever theme park, opened its doors, creating a new form of entertainment that would soon sweep the globe. Decades later, Disney revolutionized animation again with the advent of computer-generated imagery (CGI). This innovation give us classics like “The Lion King” and “Beauty and the Beast.”

Beyond entertainment, Disney has left an indelible mark on popular culture. Its characters, songs, and catchphrases are woven into the fabric of society. From “Hakuna Matata” to “Let It Go,” Disney’s music has become the soundtrack of our lives. Over the past 100 years, Disney has brought us beloved characters. These have become a cherished part of our lives, transcending generations and cultures.

Disney Iconic theme parks around the world, from Disneyland in California to Shanghai Disney Resort, offer a chance to millions around the world to step into Disney’s enchanted worlds and experience immersive attractions, entertainment, and unforgettable moments.
